Did you know National Google.com Day is September 15? Here are some interesting facts about the search engine.
Google started in 1996 with two students from Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Ph.D., but it was not initially called Google. When the search engine was first developed, one of the first names was "BackRub." The name, Google.com, was registered in 1997 and formally incorporated in 1998. In 2000, Google opened its first office in New York City with one employee they met at a Starbucks.
Google went public in 2004 with 19.6 million shares valued at $85 per share. In 2015, Google restructured and became Alphabet Inc., with Google as its largest subsidiary. Current revenue is over $69 billion and a net income of $16 billion.
Google generates most of its revenue from advertising, and that's where Intrada has invested time and resources. As a result, all Intrada developers are Google Certified in Digital Marketing & E-commerce, Data Analytics, or UX Design.
Intrada is also very invested and focused on SEO (Search Engine Management) technologies to provide our client's websites with maximum visibility with both organic and paid advertising. In 1996, Larry and Sergey figured out how to analyze the relationships among websites, which built the algorithm we now call PageRank.
PageRank determines a website's relevance by the number of pages and the importance of those pages that link back to the original site. Intrada offers SEO services in a package arrangement, completely customized for your individual business's needs. These plans are usually bundled with core site code optimization tasks, keyword tracking tools, AdWords campaigns, and content development strategies. Determining the competitor's relevance to our client's websites allows for a systematic and goal-focused marketing campaign to increase the organic place of the client's brand and the services provided.
At Intrada, every day is Google Day, so contact us today to learn more about how we use tools and techniques to advance a brand, deliver marketing campaigns and generate sales leads for clients of all types and sizes.
