Intrada Provides A/V Support for SpotlightPA and Culture & Culture’s Pathway to Equity Event

On Wednesday, October 11, "The Path to Equity: Empowering Pennsylvanians through Democracy Initiatives was held at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. Intrada Technologies was given the opportunity to provide audio/video services for the event that was created by a collaborative effort between Spotlight PA - an independent, nonpartisan newsroom dedicated to high-quality investigative and public-service journalism about the Pennsylvania state government and urgent statewide issues and Color & Culture - a multicultural, multichannel, full-service, marketing and advertising agency.

The fundamental goal behind orchestrating the event was twofold. First and foremost, to draw attention to the prevalent underrepresentation of ethnic communities in positions of authority and influence. Secondly, it aimed to dissect and tackle the numerous hurdles that deter these communities from active engagement and participation.

The keynote address was delivered by Errin Haines, a celebrated journalist from The19th, an independent newsroom known for its comprehensive reporting on the convergence of gender, politics, and policy. Her speech imbued the event with a profound sense of gravity and instilled in the attendees a deeper appreciation for the event's purpose.

The event was also an opportunity for some of Pennsylvania's most respected figures from the socio-political spectrum to partake in thoughtful panel discussions. These panels, titled “Leadership in Change” and “Power to the People,” comprised executive directors from all the governor’s advisory commissions and various influential individuals, respectively. These discussions were instrumental in promoting a robust dialogue about leadership, influence, empowerment and charting the course towards improved representation and equity.
