For veteran bookkeeper and office support Billie Frantz, it feels like it was only yesterday when she joined Intrada Technologies. The information technology and web development company has employed Frantz for more than 16 years.
How It All Began

In 2006, Billie was looking for a change. She had worked as a waitress and in other roles gaining significant experience “and then some” in customer service.
When approached by Intrada partners Paul Boyer and David Steele about an office support and bookkeeping role, Billie gladly accepted. She knew of the website development company from her friendship with David and his wife, Sharon.
After taking a bookkeeping course, Billie jumped in with both feet and began learning all about the information technology company. She learned quickly from on-the-job training and created systems to organize and support the office.
“I’m Always Learning and Engaged at Intrada”
Before working for Intrada Technologies, other jobs quickly became boring or tiresome for Billie. However, with Intrada’s growth and expanding service offerings, work at Intrada Technologies has never been boring.
“Even though I do the same thing on a weekly basis, I love what I do. I enjoy getting things organized and all the facets of my job. Well, except collections,” Billie laughed. “[Intrada] is still growing and [the growth] keeps me engaged. It’s new and I have to organize it. I am always learning something new.”
Over the years, Billie has worn many hats, serving Intrada as a bookkeeper, office manager, purchasing officer, HR, payroll, customer service support and ConnectWise expert. She is a fast learner and patient person, which has also earned her the role of teaching new employees about Intrada’s systems.
The Impact of Intrada’s Leadership
When asked what she loves about Intrada, Billie was quick to answer.
“I have the best bosses. I really enjoy working with them. That’s why after 16 years, I’m still as the same job,” she said. “It feels like they are family. I’ve been there all along with them, helping them as they grew the business. It’s not like a job.”
The feeling is mutual.
“Billie has been very supportive to the team, and to us as owners, as the company grew,” shared Intrada Technologies Partner David Steele.
Since its inception in 2000 to today, the company has grown from 2 employees to more than 25 employees – and it continues to grow. Intrada Technologies’ service offerings have grown as well – beginning with website development to now offering full-service information technology, web development, digital media marketing - including social media management and SEO services, hosting and cloud computing.
“It’s neat to see how far [Paul and David] have come since the beginning,” Billie acknowledged. “The culture [they have] created at Intrada and seeing how far Intrada has come – not just [in terms of] employee growth, but our customer list is huge now. They have really worked hard.”
The Impact of Intrada’s Culture and Management
The good working relationship between partners Paul Boyer and David Steele and their approach to management has benefited Intrada and contributed to the information technologies company’s success, according to Billie. Employees feel valued, are given a stake in problem-solving, and are challenged to do their best for clients. Their emphasis on teamwork between employees is modeled through their own relationship as well.
“[David and Paul] balance each other out – they’re complete opposites,” Billie noted. “They are down to earth and don’t present themselves as the big boss in their offices looking down on everyone else.”
Billie’s Contributions to Intrada Technologies
When asked about her contributions to the information technology company over the years, Billie replied humbly, “I was here to do what they needed me to do. I kept things organized and did the background stuff so [Intrada partners Paul and David] could go out and grow the business.”
David and Paul gave a high compliment when asked about her contributions, “Billie is a team player, anticipates needs, and exceeds expectations. She gives Intrada exactly what we try to provide our customers.”
Billie’s years of customer service, easygoing personality, and talent for organizing have been a steady bulwark for Intrada Technologies and their customers.
Billie’s Family, Favorites and Flying Experience
Billie is married to her husband, Cory, and has three grown children. She welcomed her first grandson in 2021. She enjoys camping, hiking, playing cards and spending time with her family.
For her 15th anniversary with Intrada, David and Paul helped Billie achieve one of her dreams – to learn to fly. They sent her up in the skies for an Intro to Flight class with ret. Col. Dave Hall, one of the nation’s top flight instructors.
