With three employees and a business plan, Mike Jameson, Mike Paternostro, and Tim Wagner launched JPW Industrial Ovens and Furnaces in 2004.
“What started as a product has evolved into a brand,” stated Mike Jameson with JPW Industrial Ovens and Furnaces. “A brand that has been recognized as one of the best in the industry is something we only hoped would happen. And it did.”
Located in Trout Run with a second plant in Williamsport, JPW has been making custom-made industrial ovens and furnaces crafted to suit their customers’ needs for nearly two decades. They create and design lab, bench, walk-in, and custom-designed ovens for clients worldwide, serving many industries from aerospace, food, and general manufacturing to research and small entrepreneurs.
“The three of us, Mike, Tim, and I, worked for the same oven company,” stated Jameson. “That company began asking me to outsource their manufacturing needs and prototype some ovens. So, with that experience, paired with the expertise of Mike Paternostro and Tim, and our desire to launch our own business someday we decided to take the leap. And since then, we never looked back.”
Then, in 2018, after being in business just shy of fifteen years, they needed to increase their manufacturing space due to significant customer demand for their standard product line. JPW opened Plant 2, which enabled them to meet that demand and maintain an inventory of standard products in stock, which reduced lead times and sped up delivery.
“The three of us are just so happy to be a part of a globally recognized company while employing nearly fifty local individuals,” added Jameson. “All of our products are made here in Lycoming County and we have become one of the best oven builders in the industry. That’s something we are so proud of.”
Jameson indicated in 2004 when they opened their doors, they were searching for a local, reliable, quick-reacting information technology company to support their growing needs. Intrada Technologies fit that description.
Intrada, less than five years old at the time, met with JPW and performed a complete assessment of their company. They identified their needs by offering cost-effective solutions that wouldn’t swell their newly launched small business’s budget and bottom line.
“Intrada started as our website hosting and design provider, but quickly grew into our network and IT support company,” added Jameson. “They also assist us with our digital marketing efforts and special event coordination, when needed. In 2018, when opening our Plant 2, we charged them with organizing a successful ribbon cutting and open house. They delivered. We were very pleased with nearly 100 in attendance, including local and regional elected officials, and we also garnered some media coverage.”
